I’m Janelle Grodsky Taylor, a former magazine editor turned writer (and aspiring novelist!), who lives in Los Angeles. By day, I’m wrangling a toddler. By night, I’m writing my heart out, shopping too much, and reading a lot of romance novels.

What is the Romance Adjacent newsletter?

Romance Adjacent is a newsletter about style, home, motherhood, and YES, romance novels. Whether it’s a book rec or a deep dive on a beloved trope, I love discussing all things romance, so no matter the topic of the newsletter, you’ll see a little something on my favorite genre, too. From time to time, I’ll explore a more personal topic, like this essay on why I read romance or this one on grief, but for the most part, it’s a lot of shopping, like a convo you’d have with your best friend.
