Just discovered your newsletter - obsessed with your style! Bought a kindle in November and it’s life changing. As for audiobooks, I’ve realized I like them specifically for thrillers and nonfiction/ memoir.
I've been reading a non-romance book for a few weeks and have NOT been able to get into it. I decided to read a romance book to get back into things, and it was such a delight and really scratched that itch I think you've mentioned in past newsletters. And now I'm onto Mrs. Nash's Ashes! Only about 20 pages in, but enjoying it so far.
I'm mostly a Kindle reader (I love being able to read a few pages on my phone's Kindle app when I'm waiting in line or on the subway), but sometimes, I get a real urge for a physical book. I try to stick to "you can either purchase it in one format or the other," but I'll admit I've bought both the e-book and physical book before (sometimes, I can't wait 34,234 weeks for a book from Libby!). My latest bedtime routine is to put my phone to charge and read on my Kindle in the dark for a few minutes before closing my eyes.
Also, those cords look amazing on you! What a great hand-me-across find.
I’ve totallyyyy bought a physical book and the e-book too for some books, especially for the very big 800+ page books that are so hard to lug around (ie the SJM book in my purse 😂), sometimes kindle is just easier 🤍
I had to come back to share I really enjoyed Mrs. Nash's Ashes and am speeding through You, with a View! The former is more my style, but I'm enjoying both and grateful for the recs! I don't think I would've come across them on my own, so thank yo!
I’m so happy to hear this!! They are both perfect examples of everything I love about the genre. Totally agree about You with a view—not something I’d usually reach for, but was so pleasantly surprised ❤️
I only read kindle or physical book before bed, so it takes me months to finish one. : \ May need to try the audiobook thing during the day but that doesn't feel like actual reading to me.
Also: That bag! Is this the small or medium Park tote?
Maybe you'd be interested in an older retired person's ways. I fall asleep too often reading, since I only have time to read at night. So it is Audio books for me! I listen while walking, cooking, getting ready, etc. I love Libby, because it is free and access to so many books through LA Public Library. I wanted to ask you, if this might apply. I have only recently paid attention to Amazon Digital credits. Now, whenever possible, I delay delivery so that I can start accumulating and using those credits. That is how we have been able to watch movies "free" , like "Past Lives" and "Anatomy of a Fall", both highly recommend by the way! Anyways, I wondered if you could apply these credits to a monthly Kindle Unlimited.
Audio all the way! Didn't think I'd be a fan but with two jobs and two kids, multitasking is the only way I can read now. Love, love, love this newsletter! x

I’m not sure about applying credits to KU because it’s an automatic monthly subscription. I’ll have to look into it!! ❤️

I tried the old navy pants! I’d go up a size bc my true size was a little tight for my liking!
I’m a huge fan of Libby! I love the audiobooks and used the ebooks option during the height of Covid!
