Thank you! It’s an old reformation sweater called “Jill cotton sweater”. I don’t see it on the site anymore but maybe it’ll pop up on Poshmark or Depop. Also, have you seen the Buck Mason Breton stripe? I have it as well and it looks very similar! It’s a heavy cotton and feels so luxe. I love it! https://www.buckmason.com/products/natural-dark-navy-stripe-mariner-jersey-breton-tee
It's as if you read my vintage Levi's hunting postpartum mind. Thank you for this *perfect* breakdown - saving all of it! And I need to watch The Idea Of You!
Thank you for sharing this! Currently pregnant with my second. There will be 3.5 years between the kids and I’m already so bummed that the new-sized clothes I bought after my first was born will most likely not fit after this one is born. 😣 I’m so very grateful to be able to grow a baby again and add to our family, but man, the body changes are hard on the ole self esteem. Saving this post for when I’m ready to shop for jeans again!
100% agree with you! So thankful of our bodies and all the work they put in for us, but dang it, change is hard! ❤️ also congrats on your second pregnancy!
Ahh omg this is the BEST Levi’s guide! Thank you thank you!
Also, I skipped the spoilers about The idea of you because I haven’t seen the movie yet (shame on me), but will def be back to read your thoughts when I have!
I love reading everything you write. Grief takes a toll mentally as well as physically. Your body housed and birthed two babies. You are incredible, always remember that.
I am months late in commenting (!) but I love this post. About 7 years ago I gained weight (also the equivalent of 3 sizes in denim) due to a (lifelong) medical condition and it was SO HARD to grapple with my changing/changed body. I have so much empathy for you and for everyone who is coming to terms with fluctuating body size <3
As a long-time denimhead, I also appreciate these recs! I have turned to Levi's many a time over the years, and with increasing frequency lately — their Made & Crafted line and Made in Japan styles are my faves. My most recent purchase is a Made in Japan barrel leg pair that is perfectly cropped on me (I'm 5'4") — can't wait to wear them this fall!
Thank you for your lovely newsletter ... I have been an admirer of yours since your Style Eater days (!) and I just wanted to send you some appreciation :)
Ok so I am currently in the midst of basically wanting to toss my entire closet postpartum because nothing fits one year later. Feeling discouraged and frustrated because I don't have the funds to redo my wardrobe. Any advice?
Love this! Already added a few to cart lol. Where is your bw stripe top from!?

Love this article! Would you mind sharing where your leather shirt jacket is from?
Thank you so much! Vintage, unfortunately! It was my grandmother’s ❤️
All the best ones are! I’m on the hunt for my perfect vintage, I’ll find her one day 😂
