I love this post so much! I’m curious if you have any techniques or soap recommendations when you hand wash your sweaters? I’ve attempted this in the past and have always ruined the fabric and shape of my sisters (😭) and I’ve been nervous investing in higher quality ones for this reason!

Thank you Niki!! No crazy technique here—I just wash them one at a time in a basin with a very tiny minuscule amount of laundry detergent. I do have the laundress sweater wash (which I know that brand is controversial) and I’ll use that for cashmere. And sometimes I’ll use woolite for my 100% wool sweaters! Not a lot of agitation while washing. And then I roll them in a towel afterwards to get the most moisture out, lay flat to dry. So far, they all seem ok after!

Also, you could also just get the higher quality ones dry cleaned!

This is the exact post I need right now as I have been considering almost all of these sweaters for my new mom wardrobe! THANK YOU! What size did you get in the J Crew roll neck?

So happy to help!! I take the jcrew rollneck in a men’s large. The fit on the model looks quite fitted (not oversized at all), so I opted for a large to have some heft to it. It’s perfect!

Love the fit of the Donni Cotton Cashmere Crewneck on you! Can I ask what size you bought?

Thanks so much! I get a large in the donni sweater (and my true size is medium).

This is such a great post! So happy I stumbled on it. The oversize sweater is the cornerstone of my mom style these days. Especially since moving from LA to a cold part of Europe. Also, I just listened to Ina Garten's memoir on audio (she reads it) and it was SO good. Her story of how she met Jeffrey her hubs and how they fell in love was so romantic and made me laugh and cry. So not a romance novel, but had some very sweet love all over it. I've got some shopping to do, thanks again! x

Great picks! I'm trying sooo hard not to buy another JK sweater... but they really are so good.

And I've been thinking about upgrading my headphones to the Bose Quiet Comfort headphones after a friend raved about them.

The siren call of the JK sweater at 25% off is sooo strong 🫠😅

Will definitely look into the bose headphones—thank you so much!

I am the same with audiobooks - I wanted so badly to love them but couldn’t commit until I started listening to books I already read. I just bought a pair of Sony wireless headphones and I love them so much more than my air pods. The downside is that the noise cancellation works really well and I have a two year old, so I really only use them when she’s not around. But they are very comfy and I prefer the sound!

We are on the same page! That’s why I’ve just been using the crappy apple ones—I need to hear what kind of destruction my 2 year old is getting in 🤣. I’ll look into Sony!
